Shouldering aside the door, a somewhat exhausted Logan dragged his carcass inside and flung it on some empty bar stool. His whole body seemed to be aching, making him gingerly shift to a slightly more comfortable position as he leant his elbows on the bar and tried to flag down the bartender whom either didn’t see him or didn’t care but it seemed Logan was in for a long wait for his booze; resigning himself, the lad rolled up the sleeve of his jumper to survey the damage today and sighed. Small bruises marked their way along the outer part of his arm but, for first time in a long while, no bleeding! Rolling down his sleeve again, his eyes flickered round the room and caught sight of some vaguely familiar faces but not many- most likely he had seem them around but never spoken to them other than a polite hello.
After what felt like forever, a glorious bottle of beer appeared before him as the bartender fellow decided the rowdy group around him were next. Lifting the cool bottle in his hands, Logan had barely taken a sip when a sudden elbow jostled him and almost made him spill his drink. Spluttering, he cast a dark glance at his neighbours before slipping off the bar stool and waddling over to the far wall where some space could be acquired- he leaned casually against said wall and sipped on the beverage, ignoring the disgusting taste for the time being. Alcohol is alcohol right? Well, Logans mind was flickering mainly towards his mount whom he had tied outside the bar for the time being- he hoped he was behaving somewhat. Not annoying anyone else that happened to be nearby. Well, he could always pretend he didn’t know whose raptor it was that tried to get too friendly with a passing human and/or mount.
“Bloody pest should be knackered by now, the amount of time I spent with him today..” He muttered over his bottle, trying not to dwell on the somewhat energetic “training” session he had earlier. It was mainly used to burn off some excess energy José had, get him to be somewhat calmer but of course, he was playing true to form- acting like he didn’t know a damn thing, did the opposite of everything. Ignored a lot of things. Usually Logan could get him to focus with a few words and some treats but no, not today. Bugger of a reptile even stole the sandwich Logan had made for his snack! José didn’t eat it of course, just flung it around until the contents spilled everywhere and made a mess Logan had to clean up. It took a while but eventually José started to show an interest and eagerly followed through the various exercises.
Logan huffed, swirling the bottle before sipping from it again and making a somewhat disgusted face he couldn’t quite hide- beer was definitely not is favourite alcohol. The taste was too strong; he preferred the sweeter taste of cider. Maybe next time, he’d get that instead.
